Dear student,
Genetic disorders like phenylketonuria can be treated by maintaining the diet such as having food with low phenylalanine content in it. Other genetic disorders like breast cancer which are associated with mutations in BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes can be treated by removing the cancerous tissues by chemotherapy. Genetic disorders like albinism, haemophilia and thalassaemia can be monitored through detailed pedigree analysis in families prone to these disorders and counselling the families for early diagnosis and therefore prevention.
