What is the source of water in each of the following ?

(a) The source of water in wells is groundwater. The rainwater and water from other sources such as rivers and ponds seeps through the soil and fills the empty spaces and cracks deep below the ground. This underground water is called groundwater.
(b) The source of water on the ground is rain. Rain is the ultimate source of water. Lack of rainfall leads to water shortage.
(c) The source of water in the atmosphere is evaporation. Water is present in the atmosphere in the form of water vapours. Evaporation is the process by which water from the oceans, seas, rivers, lakes rises up in the form of water vapour into the atmosphere.
