Strongest 1-propanol intermoleculr force:

  1. The 1-propanol forms London interaction, diple-dipole interaction, and hydrogen bonding.
  2. The strongest intermolecular force in 1-propanol is hydrogen bonding due to the Hydrogen bonded to the Oxygen atom of the group.
  3. Oxygen has more electronegativity than the Hydrogen atom in which the Oxygen atom is a partial negative charge and Hydrogen is a partially positive charge.
  4. The Oxygen atom contains two lone pairs that form a strong electrostatic attraction with the Hydrogen atom from the OH group.
