Solution
A solution contains generally two types of components i.e. solute and solvent.
The solvent is defined as that component that is present in a solution in more amounts.
Solvents are the components that are basically present in a liquid state but can exist in a solid or gaseous state as well.
Solvents can be polar, nonpolar, and organic.
Solvents can be used for dry cleaning, paints and thinner, making inks, personal care products, coatings, cleaning stains, etc.
The strongest solvent is “
water
” and it is also called the “Universal solvent”.
Water is considered as strongest solvent as it easily dissolves any substance into it.
It is a good solvent because of its polarity.
