Matter is defined as any component or particle that occupies a space in the Universe.
Matter can not be separated individually, but it is an arrangement of several atoms.
Atoms are the smallest unit of matter that is having protons, neutrons, and electrons and cannot be divided.
The arrangement of numerous atoms decides the size, shape, and color of matter.
Matter can exist in three states of matter: solid, liquid and gas, and sometimes plasma.
If the temperature increases the matter changes its state from solid or liquid to gaseous.
Example: Air is composed of many gases and elements and is present in the form of a gaseous state, wood is present in the form of solid, water is present in the form of liquid, etc.
