Speed of the centre of mass:

  1. For the system, it is the average position of all parts and weighted according to their mass.
  2. The sum of each mass's momentum divided by the total mass of the system is known as the speed of the centre of mass.
  3. The formula for speed/velocity centre of mass is Vc=m1V1+m2V2+m3V3m1+m2+m3

Here, m1,m2,m3 is mass, V1,V2,V3 is the velocities of masses and Vc is the speed/velocity of the centre of mass.
