The transfer of pollen grains from the male anther to the female stigma of the same or of another flower of the same or different plant of the same kin or family is known as self-pollination. The main objective of all living organisms is to produce the offsprings. The male reproductive part of the flower is stamen which produces a sticky powder like substance called pollen. The female reproductive part of the flower is pistil, the top of the pistil is called the stigma which is sticky in nature. Usually, plants depend on animals or the wind to pollinate them.
