Sun is the ultimate source of energy on the earth. All the other forms of energy is a resultant of sun's energy. For example, wind blows due to the uneven heating of the surface of the earth. Similarly, ocean thermal energy results from the uneven heating of the water at the surface and at depths in an ocean.
