Solution

Need or use of nitrogenous manure for plants:

  1. Nitrogen is a key element for plants because it is majorly present in amino acids of plant proteins, and DNA of plants and is also required for various plant metabolic processes like growth, absorption, transportation, and excretion.
  2. Plants cannot uptake atmospheric nitrogen so, nitrogenous manures are a good way to provide plants with nitrogen.
  3. Chlorophyll is the green pigment that plants utilize during the process of photosynthesis; nitrogen is an important component of chlorophyll.
  4. Thus, nitrogenous manure will ensure an adequate supply of nitrogen to the plants and thereby keep in check the overall well-being of plants.
