Uses of Iodine:

1. Iodine is used to prevent iodine deficiency like goiter.
2. It is used for treating a skin disease caused by a fungus.
3. Iodine is applied to the skin to kill germs, prevent soreness inside the mouth caused by chemotherapy and treat diabetic ulcers.
4. Iodine is also used for water purification.
