Tissue is a collection of cells with a similar structure and function.
In multicellular organisms, the body has levels of organization that build on each other. Cells make up tissues, tissues make up organs, and organs make up organ systems.
This complex level of organization enables the division of labour.
For example, blood tissue helps in the transportation of vital substances in our body whereas muscular tissue helps in body movement.
