what is the use of velocity in our day to day life ?

Dear student, We use velocity in projectile motion. If we were to calculate the velocity of a stone thrown from a certain height then we cannot calculate it using normal formulae of speed. So we would require its vector form,i.e velocity. By taking components of the stone thrown, along x and y axis you can easily calculate its velocity, range and time taken. Regards
