The correct option is C x=5
x5y=10---(1)
x+y=4---(2)
Using formula for cross multiplication method:
x(b1c2b2c1)=y(c1a2a1c2)=1(a1b2a2b1)
So, from equation (1) and (2) we can write the value of a,b and c.
x5×41×10=y10×11×4=11×11×(5)
x2010=y104=11+5
x30=y6=16
x30=16
6x=30
x=5
