The correct option is C 5
Given,
$2 x + y = 7$ ...(1)
$x + 2 y = 11$ ...(2)

Multiplying equation (2) with $2$ throughout.
$2 x + y = 7$ ...(3)
$2 x + 4 y = 22$ ...(4)
Subtracting (3) and (4)
We have,
$(2 x + y) - (2 x + 4 y) = 7 - 22$
$- 3 y = - 15$
$y = 5$
