Let us first find the position of the image . 1v+1u = 1f 1v+1−10 = 110 v=5cm. Let the velocity of the image be V towards the right . With respect to the mirror , image will have a velocity of V−2 and the object will have a velocity of 10−2=8 On differentiating the mirror equation , we get −Vv2+−Uu2 = 0 −(V−2)52+−8102 = 0 V=2+−8×52102 ∴ V = 0
