Waste product:-

  1. Excretory products are metabolic by-products of the digestion of carbohydrates, proteins, fats and nucleic acids which are not of use for us.
  2. The more toxic substances are converted into less toxic substances and the toxic substances are harmful to the body so excreted these substances from the body
  3. Proteins are broken down by the process of delamination.

Excretion:-

  1. The elimination of metabolic waste products from the body is called excretion.
  2. Example:- Humans excrete Urea, Birds excrete uric acid etc.

Waste products of animals:-

  1. The waste products of animals are urea in humans, uric acid in birds, ammonia in aquatic animals, bilirubin, biliverdin, excess water, carbon dioxide(CO2) etc.

Waste products of plants:-

  1. The quinine, morphine, atropine, tannins, oxalic acid resin, and gums are the waste product of plants.
