Question

What is the Wien's law for Blackbody radiation?

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,

Wien's displacement law states that the black body radiation curve for different temperatures peaks at a wavelength inversely proportional to the temperature which means the wavelength carrying the maximum energy is inversely proportional to the absolute temperature of a black body.

λmax×T=bwhere, b=wien's displacement constantT=temperature of black bodyλmax=wavelength of maximum intensity
