Translatory motion:

  1. A body is said to be in translatory motion if all points of the moving body​ move uniformly in the same line or in the same direction.
  2. There are two types of translatory motion; rectilinear motion and curvilinear motion.
  3. When a body moves along a straight line, its motion is termed as rectilinear whereas the motion of the body on a curved path is called curvilinear motion.
