The birth of tribal movement started during the period of independence.The british government had denied tribal people rights on forest resources which in turn tribal movement arised in many parts of the country in tribal regions like chota nagpur near kolam , gond near orrisa,bhilla ramoshi near maharashtra ,santhal & munda near bihar.The main motive behind the start of tribal movement to accept their rights over forest and they should be allowed to collect forest produce and cultivate forest land from the british government.
