Question

What is vapour pressure ??
Can we tell the boiling point as temperature during which the vapour pressure is equal to the atmospheric pressure??

Solution

The pressure exerted by vapour when its in equilibrium with liquid is called vapour pressure.
When you are heating a liquid the liquid starts evaporating and the liquid vapour exerts a pressure. When this pressure exerted by liquid and the atmospheric pressure is equal, then the liquid starts boiling and this temperature is called boiling point. For ex., the boiling point of water is 100 0C
