Question

What is water and mineral transported in plants?

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,

There is a conducting channel formed of xylem cells that interconnects the root to all parts of the plant body. As we know, the water and minerals are obtained from the soil through xylem cells of the root by the plants to use in the different process.

Usually, plants require carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus, and potassium. But they also need calcium, magnesium, and sulfur in moderate, and micro amounts for proper development.
