Solution:
Water scarcity - It is the lack of fresh water resources to meet the standard water demand.
Causes-

1. Climate change: Due to this the pattern of rainfall is changing. Some places might get more than average rainfall and some might get lower than average rainfall and this causes floods and droughts respectively.
2. Increased human consumption:Human population is growing at an unprecedented rate . This will result in more food demand ,which will eventually lead to a lot of water consumption in agriculture.Apart from its growing population it also needs products from industries which are also a major consumer of water.
3. Overuse and wastage of water: It is a major problem and a lot of water gets wasted by the common public in their everyday life and our consumption level of water exceeds the actual needs.
