What is xylem tissue ? Name the two kinds of cells in xylem tissue. State whether these cells are living or dead.

Xylem tissue is a vascular tissue in plants which transports water and minerals from the roots to the leaves.It's movement is unidirectional. Now, Xylem tissue is composed of four components- Xylem vessels , tracheids, fibres and xylem parenchyma . Out of the four , barring xylem parenchyma, all the other cells are dead cells.
