What is zero work? or when can work done be zero?

Work done $W=FS\cos \theta$

where $\theta$ is the angle between force $F$ and displacement $S$.

If force is perpendicular to displacement i.e. $\theta =90$

$⟹W=0$ $(\because \cos 90=0)$
