  1. When a body loses electron, it acquires positive charge.
  2. We know that electron posses negative charge and proton possess positive charge.
  3. Initially, a body contains equal number of electrons and protons, hence there is no charge on the body.
  4. When it loses an electron, the number of proton increases, hence positive charge is acquired by the body.
