Pollen grains:

  1. Pollen grains are microscopic structures present in the androecium which is the male reproductive organ of a flower.
  2. The interior section of pollen grain contains cytoplasm along with the tube cell, which converts into a pollen tube and the generative cell releases the sperm nuclei.
  3. Pollen grain formation occurs through meiosis to produce the haploid pollens with half the chromosome number as that of pollen mother cell.
