  1. Convex mirrors are the bulged out reflecting surface that diverges the light ray after the incident light hits the surface.
  2. It is also referred to as the divergent mirror.
  3. Following diagram shows the convex mirror image formation:

The image by a convex mirror is independent of object position. It always appears erect and behind the mirror (virtual).

Thus, the nature of the image formed by the convex mirror is virtual, erect, and diminished.
