Question

What kind of matter is fire?

    Open in App
    Solution

Fire is a multiphase state of matter. Just like wet steam is a multiphase state of matter, both liquid, and gas are in two-phase coexistence.
Fire is gas and plasma in two-phase. Much of the visible flame is gas. Some of the hotter regions are plasma, electrons get ionized, and active combustion occurs.
