Solution
Nerves are part nervous system. The system has brain and spinal cord as central components, while nerves exit and enter the central nervous system to deliver messages to the body parts and to carry messages to central nervous system (CNS) respectively.
Accordingly nerves are of two types: EFFERENT and AFFERENT. These are formed of a collection of neurons.
Efferent nerves carry MOTOR messages outwardly from central nervous system to different body parts and facilitate their functions. Afferent nerves bring in SENSORY messages towards CNS.
