Solution

1)
The landmark decisions were taken by the National Assembly included:
  • Elimination of the feudal system of taxes
  • Confiscation of land owned by churches
  • Taking away of privileges of the clergy
  • Limitations of the powers of the monarch
  • Establishments of institutions of legislature, executive and judiciary
  • Election of the members of the National assembly by men above 25 years of age, and paying taxes equivalent to three days wages of a laborer

2)
The members of the third estate were disappointed by the pattern of the voting because:
  • Though the number of the members of the third estate was equivalent to that of both the first and second estates put together, there were still could cast only one vote, alike the first and second estate. The demands of the third estate to let each person cast one vote each, at the assembly of Estates General was not adhered to.
  • Moreover, women, artisans and peasants belonging to the third estates were denied entry into the hall though their demands were listed with the members inside the hall.
  • The delegates of the first and the second estates were seated, facing each other in the hall in Versailles, whereas the members of the third estates had to stand at the back.
