What laws have been made by the Government to prevent the pollution of water?
The Government of India has made strict laws to prevent the pollution of water. According to these laws,
1. It is compulsory to treat the waste water properly before it is released into any water body.
2. The toxic and organic substances present in waste water released from toilets and latrines should be broken down before releasing it into rivers.
3. The trenches, septic tanks and soak pits should be built to drain away waste from toilets and latrines.
