One of the main reasons for WW2 was the failing of the League of Nations. But the league also suffered from the lack of participation from the USA. Thus it could not prevent the commencement of the league of nations.
The concept of the Cold War is used to describe the condition where there is no actual war, but there are such tensions in the circumstances, that they may be responsible for causing war. We will learn about it in our next lesson.
