Step 1: The resistance of wire is expressed as

R=ρLA ....(1)

Given, R=1Ω,
The area of cross section, A=πr2=3.14×0.0012=3.14×106.
Resistivity ρ=1.7×108 ohm-meter

Step 2: Putting above values in equation (1)
We get
1=1.7×108×L3.14×106

L=1×3.14×1061.7×108=3.14×1061.7×108=1.847×102m.
