What makes it possible to see the path of light in the darkness of a cinema hall?

Solution

The dust particles that are moving in air induce a scattering effect of light. Due to this scattering, the path of light is clearly visible in the darkness of the cinema hall as it comes from a projector and there are no other light sources.
