Honey bees are the social insects as they do lots of labour and live in colonies. Each colony has one queen and 20,000 - 50, 000 female worker bees are present, Worker bees perform all the task relating to the colony like constructing hive and storage of honey during the colder regions. Each female worker bee lays unfertilized egg There are hundreds of male drones are present in the colony, which are ejected during the lean seasons. Drone fertilize the queen outside the hive. Each drone dies after fertilization and then queen mate with new drone and this process continues again and again.
