Application:
Natural Vibration: Guitar, Musical Instruments.
The Strings of a guitar vibrate at their natural frequency when plucked. the frequency can be changed by
changing the length of the strings or increasing or decreasing the tension in the string.
Forced Vibration: The large portion of a guitar is a wooden box, we call this soundbox. the strings might be vibrating at
their natural frequency, but they setoff the soundbox to vibrate at the same frequency as they are connected to it. now the soundbox will vibrate at the natural frequency of the strings and we can say that the soundbox is executing a
forced vibration. Resonance Vibration: When one body vibrates at the natural frequency of another body the first body is going to set off the second body to vibrate at its natural frequency, this phenomena is known as
Resonance. example: soldiers are adviced not to march on a bridge because they might march at the natural frequency of the bridge and the bridge might start oscillating and collapse
