Princess September saw the bird lying still in his cage early in the morning. She immediately thought of her parrot and did not wish for the same fortune. She was hopeful when she heard the bird’s heart beating. When the bird said that he would die if he couldn’t sing, she immediately gave him his freedom. She loved him enough to let him be happy in his own way.
The bird reacted by saying that he would come to visit her because he loved her. He shook himself a bit to remove his stiffness and then flew into the blue sky.
