  3. During this chemical reaction, Iron (Fe) is converted into Iron oxide/Ferric oxide (Fe2O3). 4Fe(s)+3O2(g)+2.xH2O(l)2Fe2O3.xH2O(aq)(Iron)(Oxygen)(Water)(Hydratedferricoxide)
  4. The Rust usually appears as a red, brown or orange flaking or pitting of the metal surface.
