What picture does she present of her husband to Bluntschli? How far is this true?

Catherine tells Bluntschli that her husband was not satisfied with the outcome of the battle and that he wouldn't appreciate the fact that Catherine, as well as Raina, had helped a Serbian artillery officer to escape. One can say it's not at all true as when Major Petkoff meets Bluntschli he treats him with due respect and tells him that he had seen him coming in and wondered why he didn't come and speak to him which is completely contrary to what Catherine told about Major Petkoff.
