Infectious diseases, directly or indirectly, are transmitted from one individual to another. Such diseases are acquired, not inherited. If we prevent the entry of the disease causing pathogens into our body, then we can prevent the disease from occurring instead of curing the disease after suffering from it. For preventing the occurrence of disease following precautions should be taken:
(i) Take balanced diet
(ii) Maintain proper hygienic conditions
(iii) Maintain proper sanitary conditions
(iv) Health education and awareness about diseases among masses.
(v) Clean air and safe drinking water
(vi) Medical checkup at intervals
(vii) Vaccination
