Solution

Given: CP = Rs 1200, Discount % =16 % and

Profit % = 12%

We know that,

S.P=C.P×(1+Profit %100)

=1200×(1+12100)

=1200×112100

= Rs 1344

Now, S.P =Rs 1344 and discount % =16%

M.P=(S.P×100100Discount %)

=1344×10010016

=1344×10084

= Rs 1600

Hence, the marked price of the pair of shoes is
Rs 1600.
