The Malpighian body is also called as the renal corpuscle.
It consists of the glomerulus and Bowman’s capsule.
The glomerulus is a network of capillaries that receives blood from the afferent arteriole and gives it further to the efferent arteriole.
Process in Malpighian body: Blood filtration.
The blood is passed from the glomerulus.
The thin walls of the glomerulus allow certain smaller molecules, wastes and fluids to pass into the tubule while filtering the rest of the red blood cells and proteins, this process is also known as ultrafiltration.
The Bowman's Capsule receives the filtrate from the glomerulus. It is made up of a double layer called the parietal layer and the visceral membrane.
The filtrate further moves to tubules where fine reabsorption and secretion take place.
