Chemical reaction is:
CuO(s)+H2(g)Cu(s)+H2O

Number of moles of gas at STP or NTP, nH2=Volume22.4=2.822.4=0.125

Molar mass of CuO=63.5+16=79.5 g

1 mol of H2 reacts with 1 mol (79.5 g) of CuO

Therefore 0.125 mol of H2 reacts with 0.125×79.5 g=9.9 g of CuO
