Test for unsaturation:
1.) Brown Water Test:-
Bromine water is brown in colour, If it becomes colourless when added to the compound then it shows a positive test for the presence of unsaturation.
2.)Baeyer's Reagent.
If the colour of Baeyer's Reagent changes from purplish-pink to brown, then it shows the presence of unsaturation in the given compound.
