Open in App
Solution

The general equation of a line is given by
ax + by +c = 0

If it passses through the origin,
(x,y) = (0,0) lies on the line.

Substituting , x = 0 and y = 0 in the equation, we have,

A(0) + b(0) + c = 0
So, c = 0

Hence the constant of an equation which passes through origin is 0.
