Open in App
Solution

Find the angle for minimum work:

The formula to find Work done is

W=Fscosθ

W-Work done

F-Force

s-Displacement

θ-The angle between force and displacement.

The minimum value for cosineis at θ=90°

Substitute θ=90° in the formula

W=Fscos90° (Substitute cos90°=0)

W=0

The work will be minimum if the angle between force and displacement is at θ=90°.
