Question

What si photoconductive mode of photodiode

Open in App
Solution

In photoconductive mode, an external reverse bias is applied. As the photodiode is in reverse bias the width of the depletion layer increases. This reduces the junction capacitance and thereby the response time. The reverse bias causes faster response time for the photodiode.
