Solution

Dear student,
The British always tried to keep the Indian population divided for which only the rich men had a chance to vote nor the women or the poor had such rights. For this reason, in 18th century Britain it was observed that the women were debarred from voting. The struggle for women's suffrage started in the 19th century but it did not come so quickly. At the initial stage, women taxpayers were given the right to vote in municipal elections but not in national elections. Due to the negligence of the women in the British parliament, it was observed that even after this obstacle was removed in the 19th century in many other countries, the women of Britain still could not vote.
