Some strategies that can be adopted for recycling waste products are:
(a) Fast-food restaurants can use less packaging for their products and provide on-site bins for recycling used paper and plastic.
(b) Grocery stores can recycle plastic and paper bags by providing bins for their collection and recycling. Some stores also offer inexpensive canvas shopping bags to people who prefer them over disposable plastic and paper bags. Some stores charge money for plastic bags. The monetary factor dissuades people from buying them.
(c) Re-use products such as boxes and bubble wraps to ship packages.
(d) Purchase products such as bottles, cans, boxes, containers, cartons, carpets, clothes and floor tiles made from recycled material, whenever possible.
