Solution

Since, P=?,R=8% p.a.,T=5 yrs,P=Rs. 3600,R=10% p.a.,T=4 year

Now, S.I=S.I
(P×R×T)100=(P×R×T)100

(P×8×5)100=(3600×10×4)100

P×40=3600×40

P=3600

Hence, Rs. 3600 should be invested for 5 years at 8% p.a. to earn the same interest as Rs 3600 at 10% p.a. for 4 years.
